PAPPULAPODI / PUTNALAPAPPU PODI.. This is one of my favorite powder used as side dish for rice, idly, dosa n upma... Also u can use in curries. This is a very mild sweet, spicy, simple, easy and tasty recipe, very quick to prepare with very few ingredients. I like to have this fresh with hot rice and ghee.. I prepare this in large quantities and will store in an air tight container.
Preparation time : 5 min
INGREDIENTS
250 gms putnalapappu/roasted dal
10 redchillies, u can increase or decrease as per your taste
1tbsp jeera/jeelakarra
salt as per taste
5 garlic pods(optional)
METHOD OF PREPARATION
- Take a mixie jar and all the above ingredients one by one and grind into a fine powder.
- Transfer into air tight container and serve hot with steam rice with dollop of ghee.
