VEG HAKKA NOODLES



NOODLES... SAB KA FAVORITE... One of the popular Indochinese dish which you can order in any restaurants and available in street food joints. This is prepared in different varieties.. will post soon.. Today i am sharing with you simple, easy and quick preparation of noodles..that is VEG HAKKA NOODLES.. U can serve this for kids they love them and ask for more and more :)



Preparation time : 20 min
Cooking time : 10 min
Serves 2

INGREDIENTS

1 packet hakka noodles
2 cups cabbage, finely shredded
1 carrot, thinly sliced into juliennes
1 capsicum, thinely sliced
10-15 french beans, finely sliced
10-15 garlic pods, finely sliced
3 tbsp oil
salt as per taste
pinch of aginomoto/tasting salt
1 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp chilli sauce, either green or red
1 tbsp soya sauce
spring onions for garnishing

PREPARATION
  • Finely chop the vegetables and keep aside
  • Boil the noodles as per pack instructions.
  • Once boiled strain them and keep running under cold water. Once they are cooled add 2 tbsp oil and mix well so that the oil is completely coated to the noodles ( this makes noodles non sticky and each noodle will be seperate). Keep it aside.
COOKING METHOD 
  • Take a vok / wide cooking pan and add oil. Once the oil is piping hot add garlic and saute for 1 min.
  • Then add the chopped vegetables one by one and saute them on high heat for 3 min.
  • Reduce the flame and add salt, pepper powder, aginomoto and saute for 1 min.
  • Add soyasauce, vinegar, chilli sauce and fry for 2 min.
  • Add the boiled noodles and str fry them for 3 min on high heat.
  • Garnish with spring onions and serve piping hot with any ketchup of your choice..
TIPS
Dont cover the pan with lid while cooking noodles.. This makes the vegetables soft. They should be crunchy in noodles.
